90 Vr-4 tranny in a 91 talon = problems

Hey i have a 90 galant vr-4 tranny in a 91 eagle talon tsi. Do i need to change my shift cables or my shift cable brackets to make it shift right.

I can't get her to go into gear from inside the cockpit but it does it fine if i shift it directly from the tranny

Need to swap the cable bracket on the tranny .

you might want to check the spline count to make sure they match.
