what is everybody using??

okay...i've dona a search and that didn't reveal much. i want to know what type of tranny fluid everybody is using in thier transmissions. i have non-turbo 5 speed and have heard mixed things about using different fluids. i called the dealership and they said that they use bg synchroshift. what are all you other non-turbo guys and girls using??

GM Synchromesh, close to $40 for a few quarts with tax, and I honestly didn't notice any improvement on my tranny over the cheap stuff... but some people swear by this stuff.

Redline MTL.

When I break in a tranny I use straight 40 weight motor oil for a few hundred miles. Only $1.39 per quart!

Instead of GM Synchromesh, Pennzoil Synchromesh at AutoZone, $4.50 a bottle- WITH the GM part number on it. Same stuff.

On my car, I'd say about a 30% improvement.

i used redline in my old tranny and bg synchroshift in my new one, cant really say if they helped with any grinding since i went with a newer tranny when i switched. both worked fine for me, getting bg synchroshift from extreme wasnt cheap though
