Ok i have been told the shifting assemblys and something with the tranny is different from the 90's cars. Just wondering if any one has done this swap, or what the deal is. Dont really know anything about this change, but will have to do it for my project.

I know someone has to have done this before. Can anyone help me out?

I put a 92 tranny in my 90. All you have to do is swap the shift cable brackets and select lever from the 90 onto the 93 trans. You don't need to mess with the shift cables or the shifter inside the car, except to readjust the cables.

Well I've got (2) '91 Trannys layin on my garage floor and both are 23-spline. All 1990s are 21-spline unless they've been upgraded during rebuild to the 23-spline output shaft (which of course necessitates use of a 91-94 23-spline X-FER case).

And yes.. all you need to do is swap the cable bracket from the orig 1990 tranny to the new(er) one.. at least for my 1991s ;)
