Clutch always engaged

Hey guys I just helped my friend install an ACT 2100 clutch on his first gen and when we were all done, it was very hard to put the car into gear. So I tried turning the car off the and put it in first gear and when I turn the car back on with my foot on the clutch the car still moves forward. I tried adjusting the clutch but still the same problem. Did anyone ever incounter this problem with their first gen if so what did you guys do to solve it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

With an aftermarket clutch, your clutch engagement position will need to be adjusted. See:

Did you have the step height on the flywheel machined? Most aftermarket clutches will have a step height spec. Also did you shim the ball for the release arm with an extra washer? That helps with pedal height. And of course blead everything again a little air can cause the same problem. Good luck!
