To everyone who had there transmission rebuitl by john sheppard please read

my 4th gear synchro is pretty much gone and instead of just fixing that i want to get the whole thing rebuilt. i want to have it done by shep racing and my question is around how much was it for you guys to ship your transmissions have them rebuilt and then sent back. i just want to get some sort of figure to play around with. also how long did it take for you to get it back from them. thanks guys

thats very dependant on where you are at and whats wrong with the tranny, if u just have a blown syncro then the standard shep rebuild should cover everything u need, if u had something along the lines of a blown differential it would be alot more
shep rebuild is about 900 bucks, shipping each way could range from a few hundred to several hundred from where you are at, depends on how you ship it, if you were to give it to ups or something in a big ass box it would cost an arm and a leg to ship it

i really dont know much about consumer shipping charges, my friends work at a paper storage and transfer company/warehouse, the owner will ship a tranny to ohio for us on a truck along with an order of paper for a really good price, so i have never had to deal with regular shipping charges
