alright i have been experincing this noise for months now. in between shifts or when the car jerks really hard my driveshaft makes a clink clink noise, like solid metal hitting solid metal. now if it was the carrier bearings wouldnt it vibrate and make more of a thump noise hitting the floor? it doesnt do that just a solid clink clink noise.
i went underneath my car and tried moving it up and down. there was a lil play but it took some force and it didnt move much at all. how much play should their be to know if the carrier bearings are bad or not? could it be u joints? i only have 59k miles on this car. maybe they need to be greased?
i did a search on this many times and no one seems to have a reasonable symptom for if its the carrier bearings or u joints. someone please help im bringing it to someone soon to have the clutch done a t belt so i dont wanna have to do this too cause the bill will be outrageous.
i didnt see any grease fittings on our driveshaft u-joints. anybody know if they even have grease fittings on them or are our cars just officially ###?
