I'm hoping to get by on stockers for a little while, but I'm sure i'll snap a few axels on the 100 shot out of the hole. I was wondering where I could look at some stronger axels for 2g AWD autos. I did try the search tool , but nothing on the 1st page, so I gave up. Hook it up with a link or something.

Id contact Raxles or ask John Shep or Dave Buschur if I were you. The people who use them.

they make stronge aftermarket axels for our cars, i dont know off hand where exactly sells them or who makes them, but they are out there
a friend of mine's brother used to have a 1g automatic, he has 2 aftermarket front axels for a 1g that have never been used, hes going to sell um to me for like $80 for the pair

so basicaly that means i will need stronger aftermarket rear axels for my 1g, there really isnt much stress on my fronts but i cant pass up such a good deal on them, so if u guys find somewhere sellign them post a like so i can buy some rear ones to complete the set

oh, and a word to the wise, spraying nitrous in first gear will eat ur automatic trans up pretty fast, me and my friends learned that the hard way, we sprayed an automatic 99 ls integra that my friend used to have with a 60 shot, my friend sprayed it off the line dozens of times(and it was really quick), but he ended up blowing 4 trannies from the nitrous within 1 year
i mean u can do it if u want to, but with awd i think the stress on the tranny will be even worse, all i can say is when u blow the first tranny u will have 2 options(unless u wan to keep blowing them), buy a built tranny or stop spraying in 1st gear

not to be a bastard or anything, but you really don't know what I've been through with this car so far, and what my plans are for the future. I've sprayed many times off the line, and the only problem I had was CW. BTW, I'm putting the HPSK tranny kit from Alto on to hopefuly withstand the power I plan on making. 2.6 ltrs + t66 + 100 - 125 shot the whole way = sh!t loads of fun.
I hope this clears up some of that fatherly advise. Sry for he wise ass remarks, it's just that I've been told that I'll never be able to do what I want in this car, and now I'm only a few steps away. I've been building for 7 months now and I'm sick of looking at that car with no motor in the bay. I spoke with Russ Coxe, and he has yet to break an axel, but I'm going with a way more tourquey motor, plus I'm sprayin the house down out of the hole. I was just looking for a soltion to any axel problems I might have, and Russ hooked it up with the info, I shared with the public, that is all.

the hpsk tranny kit should help out, that falls under one of those 2 options, a built tranny, and if u had that turbo in ur mod list i would have never have posted that, ur going to need that hundred shot just to spoil that turbo off the line, i was thining u had smaller turbo that would spoil fairly hard right off the line, a t66 will be battling turbo lag and trying to stay spoiled instead of putting immdiadite stress on the tranny, but by the time u hit second it will be going down the track like a rocket

i met a guy at carlisle last year that had a t61 on a 2g eclipse w/4g63, he said he needed an 80 shot to spoil the turbo up to get off the line, it made a little over 500whp with the nitrous, the hp was in the very high 400s without the spray, he had the dyno sheet in the window to prove it, from how he talked about it i assume he only used the nirous to spoil off the line, and let the huge turbo take over after it was spoiled

when u think about how people are making 600+ hp with garret and hybrid turbos it seems kind of pointless to run that huge turbo thats so hard to spoil, but with the 2.6(i assume its a starion engine, but u could be wrong, it might be one of those bored over 4g64s people keep spectulating about building) it shouldnt be quite as hard to spoil it as opposed to putting it on a 2.0 4g63, the starion engine with a huge turbo has put several (tube chassie, fiberglass body)cars into the 7s

in any case, good luck on ur project, i hope it turns out as good when its done as its looking at this point, and thanks for the axel link, now i can turn the 2 front ones im getting into a full set on all corners

who built your 2.6 and how much did ithooked cost?
My boys at ARD me up phat with the 2.6 idea, and 6 months later the combo was finally figured out. It's costing a pretty penny, but I bet we can throw one together with eagle "H" beams and Wiseco pistons of your choice for about $3K - $3500. You would actually have to talk to Jodie about the actual pricing. I could be over quoting.
They also do bad ass head work. One of the owners was a leading port man at GTP for about 3 yrs, and I've never seen smoother combustion chambers then his. They are also making their own sheet metal intake manifold real soon. They do a number of other things including, powdercoating, custom piping, direct port N2O installs, any DSM or Supra performance upgrade, as well as work on just about anything from your Grandpa's Chevelle, to your cousin Jose's CRX.
Give them a call if you like, they are in Houston, Tx @ 713-984-9140. Ask for Jodie or Owen, they are the sh!t:thumb: Tell them Marcus referred ya:thumb:, I'm trying to get brownie points, cause I know I'm gonna need the hookup down the road.

I refuse to tell the seret of the 2.6 and how to make it work. All I can tell you is it ain't no 4g64. I just hope the tranny will hold long enuff to make a run at The Man (Shep), before having to put a powerglide on it and go RWD.
