$g63 and VR-4 tranny q's

Ok, Ive been looking and have found nothing on the subject. Lots of posts on 6 speeds, but none on what I'm looking for. I'm wondering if the 4G63 and the VR-4 have the same tranny bolt patern. I would love to have the VR-4 6 speed in my 93 TSi AWD . I like to cruise at around 75MPH, on the freeway, and an extra gear would really help my gas mileage. Thanks all.

You need to be more specific - what VR-4? If its the Galant VR4 (91/92 specifically), then yes they will fit. But they're five speed, so I assume you're talking about the Getrag 6speed from the 3000GT, in which case you are quite out of luck.

Yeah I was refering to the 6 speed. That stinks. I bet I could fab an adapter plate, like the Fiero guys do when mounting a small block V8 to the Getrag, or Isuzu 5 speeds... Thanks HokieDSM.
