Taller first gear, and you can disengage the rear-wheel drive by jacking it up and moving a pin on the outside of the trans case.

So the internals etc are the same, besides what needed to be changed to make it :fwd: capable?

I heard you can't use the JDM transfer case cause of different gearing ratio's is that correct?

The internals are the same (as opposed to the popular myth that anything JDM is somehow better or stronger) and nothing needs to be changed (internally) to run it in FWD mode if desired. Just lock the center differential by removing the bolt of the VC lock-up lever (located on the rear cover of the tranny).
