How to figure splines on tranny??

i am having a problem. I am in need of a transmission for my 95 eagle talon TSI AWD, and i have found some on trader but they all want to know if i need 23 spline or 22 spline? I don't know how to fond out what i need. If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

did you ever figure out how many splines were on your output shafts? let me know! thanks :thumb:
 
someone once mentioned that they (axles ... because the splines are different) needed to be changed too ... just verify the truth to this

The last time i checked the splines on the axles were the same throughout the years. But if they are not just pull your fron diff out and swap them in the tranny, you can also do this with the output shaft in the AWD tranny.

yah, axle Splines are the same. its the output shaft for the T-case, that mates with the trans is diffrent.
