how do i get rid of 4ws??

i'm about to do a lot of work on my car since the tranny blew so i was thinking about getting rid of the 4ws while there is downtime. What is the correct procedure for removing it with it being safe. I really dont want the rear to flop around. anyone?

start at www.taboospeedshop.com and look up the "Active toe control eliminator". That mod converts the pivot on the rear wheels into a rigid arm. Then remove the steering gizmo somehow.

Just being curious,
Wouldnt it be better to have 4ws then to not have it? Why are you getting rid of it?

well, to be honest, the pump leaks. second, the pump takes power from the drivetrain since there is a drive shaft that goes into the rear diff from the pump. third, it would probably handle better without it
because it felt a little slushy going around corners sometimes.

I'm still torn between wether i should keep it or not though since it's kinda gimmicky, if i could find a used pump for a reasonable price i'd stick with it.

another thing that i have heard about it is that it can be unpredictable at high speeds but i really dont know how valid that statement is.
