Well i just got my ACT2600 installed last night. Now im having a huge problem of it grinding extremly bad when i try to go into any gear, i have the cluthc pused in as far as it can go. Wtf is going on??

How can i fix this. I will try to bleed the slave later and see if that helps otherwise please toss me some ideas on what to do!!

Sorry to sound stupid!!

Your clutch is not disengaging all of the way. There is a rod that goes from the pedal assembly to through the firewall into your master cylinder. This rod attatches to an arm, and when the clutch is pushed in, the rod is what moves the fluid through the hydraulic system. On this rod there is a jamb nut. Loosen the nut, and grab the rod with some pliers and turn it. You will want to turn it so the rod is being backed out of the pedal assembly (or so that when you push in the pedal, more of the rod is being pushed through the firewall). This will help disengage the clutch all of the way, and will cure your grinding problem. Move the rod a little at a time, and then try it out. When you get it to where is shifting properly, tighten the jamb nut back down and you are off to the races.

I used the aliginment tool and it was properly done, i didnt notice it was center in the pressure plate, I bleed the slave now i willl try and adjust the roD!!!

adjuust the rod on the clutch pedal assembly. Extend the rod toward the master cylinder. If that didn't help, shim the fulcrum behind the clutch fork. Use 5mm to 10mm washer to shim it. Good luck.

I was reading somewhere on another board and someone said that their are 3 riviest in a triangle on the dics and 3 small wholes on the pressure plate that are their to match up? Is that correct or did i read it wrong?

????? The closest I can think of is the 3 dowel pins on the flywheel suppose to match up with the center holes (in between the 2 x 12mm bolt holes on 3 sides) of the pressure plate. As for the disc, you could put it any rotation you want, just as long the pilot tool is align with the disc and flywheel. Bolt the 12 mm bolt at a star shape pattern. Good luck.

Was the flywheel resurface to 0.609" +/-0.002"? Good luck.

Set,

The flywheel was done by RRE. I put in the Lighten stock Flywheel that is steeped for that clutch

Ok well i finnaly got under the car again. Well i was reading on RRE. Well my fork is all the way to the passenger side of the car, when i put the clutch in it can move about 1/8" before it hits the bellhousing, now i guess i must drop the trans and shim the pivot ball, but i also read that i can shim it to much and hurt the PP/Clutch dics. How should i go about this?

again use 5mm-10mm thick washers. good luck.
