2nd Gear is grinding

The 95 Talon TSi i am buying is grinding 2nd gear. the guy took it to the shop and had the syncro replaced, but it still grinds. Any clues other than replacing the tranny, that is a last resort

no, but seriously, there are a few things you can do to help, although I m not sure if they ll work considering you said he already replaced the synchro... first make sure you ve got good fluid in it, then, make sure that the cables at the shifter are adjusted properly, and third, bleed the clutch, and readjust the pedal, there s info about doing it on TRE's website.
