The clutch is brand new, It's a front wheel drive car and i don't have the Drive shaft connected or anything, but with a brand new clutch it should be fine, right?

I don't understand, brand new clutch, the tranny shifts fine, and it barely moves, and doesn't engage until very high gear @ high revs.

Any help would be very appreciated, Thanks guys!

btw it's a 90 TSi

you need to lock the center diff to install am AWD tranny in a FWD car

Yeah, the last two posters are correct. Why would you think you can just throw an AWD tranny in a FWD and assume it would work? What is happening is your VCU is attempting to lock enough to transmit power only to the front wheels. I cannot, so it is spinning. Depending on how long you have driven it like this, it might be toast.

You needed a welded center diff or VCU eliminator to make this work. As for your next question, no it is not practical to make it AWD and connect the rear driveshaft.
