i recently had a centerforce dual friction clutch installed on my 2g GS w/ turbo.

i bought it because i have a couple of buddies (one with a 95 tsi awd and one with a cougar) that have said they are awesome. i have fully broken the clutch in (over 800 miles on it) and it seems to slide into gear and times when i really shift hard. in addition to this, i have heard some pretty bad horror stories.

i was wondering if anyone has any ideas for me in terms of what could be causing this. also, if anyone has any good stories about the dual friction for the 2gnt's, post em up and make me feel better!

needless to say, i am pissed about spending so much money and getting nowhere. i thought i was getting the best, but im seriously questioning that now.

I'm having difficulty understanding your original post... Centerforce makes an excellent clutch for street/rally/road race. Not as good a choice for drag race. Frequent and/or prolonged slipping of the clutch will rapidly destroy it. If you break it in carefully and drive it the way it's meant to be, it will hold lots of power and live a LONG life...

not a good choice at all for drag racing, I toasted the living shit out of mine after one season of racing, maybe +- 25 launches, And it just ruined it, Ive already done that much on my act 2600 and it still grips like no other....
