Auto to 5spd. in a GSX?

Ive read about swaping to 5spd. in many GST's, but what is different when swaping in a AWD?

Is it as simple as it seems to be in GST?

Please, I dont need opinions on swaping, just info

Much more difficult, but talked to death. Try a search, although I know how hard it is to get a good filter on most searches.

It wont be any harder, you just have a transfer case to drop, before you pull the tranny, I just had my tranny out this week, It wont be any harder than a GST, theres a guy on here somewhere, that explains his swap and has pics and stuff

I went searching on Talk, and I found out you also gotta swap the whole rear end... not quiet worth it...

anyways, I found a 5spd. GSX that Im bout to buy

there are more, just search "awd auto swap"

to go from 5spd. to auto, just swap in all the auto parts listed and a TCU.

Do you need a whole MT rear diff, or could you just change out the gears and pinion in your AT to MT?

i am currently planning on doing this swap and am wondering do i need to get a ECU from a manual car? I pretty much have everything else i need. And is there any kind of website that tells you in depth on how to do this swap? Or is there anyone on this board that has done this swap that i could refer to if i run into any problems?

Ive read you dont need a diff ECU, just unplug the TCU.
