Is this the right tranny fluid?

I went to a GM dealer to get some GM synchromesh. When I got there she handed me AC Delco tranny fluid. It says synchromesh on it. I asked her if this was the right stuff and she said yeah. The part # is 10-4006. It was in a stubby, fat white bottle. The fluid is very dark and seems alot thinner than the fluid that came out (80w90). I hope I didn't get screwed.

GM Synchromesh is actually a relabled AC Delco brand gear oil. But the part number is supposed to be something like 12345349

It's also $4.50 a bottle if you get it at Autozone with a "Pennzoil" bottle holding it. Same part number.
Yes, it looks quite a bit thinner than what comes out.... for that matter, it _looks_ like it'd go really well on waffles.

I'm doing a clutch replacement this weekend, so I'll have to see if the local eraserhead-riceboy-shop...er...I mean, if Pep Boys has the Penzoil stuff. I'm running GM's branded stuff right now, and wasn't so pleased with the $11/qt. price tag, until a few days after I'd added it.
