Shortest short shifter?

Personally i would go with the B&M- They are the nicest shifter for the 2G in my opinion........

B&M is the most expensive, and the most incredibly well-made and high-quality to be had. It's not an especially short stick, in terms of how far the knob sticks up out of the console, but you can set the shift to 50% movement and have an overall throw of about two inches.
If you're looking for short as a measure of height of the stick, you could cut down the factory stick to 3" or so, and have a remarkably short stick, but I don't know how awful it would feel.

i've got a pacesetter. however, if you have a 90 dsm, don't order it. i had to grind the f@#k out of it to make it fit. I think that the 1990's are different from any other 1 G.
I know that it isn't as fancy as a B&M but it worked for me.

i have the pace setter. its extreamly short. doesnt fit pefectly makes a clunk noise when you shift but the throw is short. i have to grind the shifter plate to make som clearances though just to be safe wound want to get stuck in 2nd or 4th gear when racing that honda down the street.

Just more proof that pace setter products are not what you would call "top notch". Do they make a b&m for 1g? I havent found one anywhere. Seems as though 1g guys are stuck with the pace shitter.

i cut my stocker down about an 1" or 1.25" and it looks better, isnt REALLY short throw, but its quite a bit shorter, i really like it, but if you dont have access to a welder i guess you couldnt do it like that, unless you wanna send me yours and ill do it for ya ;) took me less than 5 minutes to cut it and reweld it, just made 2 cuts where its straight so welding is easy, butted the 2 pieces up, welded them together and bam, gotta short shifter, now i just have to redo the bottom part (below pivot point) to make it even shorter, but if you have access to a sawzall and a welder, its cheap and works pretty damn well :)

Sort of off topic but 1G's are old, how many would care to bet that a lot of shifting problems are due to 10 year old+ shifter linkages?
