well here is my situation. i bought a 93 gsx that had a blown 7 bolt.
and i swapped it with my 6 bolt motor thinking that the original tranny would hook up but it did not. so now i have to use the fwd tranny that came with my 6 bolt. im kinda pissed cuz i have a fwd gsx. so i was wonderin if i could use a 92 gsx tranny but would i have any trouble with the shift linkage? would it line up? the other choice i have is to rebuild the 7 bolt and use the original tranny but that is to much work and i prefer the 6.
sorry for the long post. oh and does anyone have a 92 gsx tranny?
if so i have money or two trannys for trade or sale: one for a gst and another for a 93 and up gsx.
thanx for you time

Well cheif I would say it like this; use a 7 bolt flywheel with a 7 bolt tranny and vice-versa. Besides they probably have different splines which is probably why you couldn't get the tranny stabbed. Fwd on the happy said ways less, but awd is great for traction as well as in-climate weather how ever ways alot. Good luck on your descision.:dsm:
