Clutch install $$$?

I am going to have a shop install my new clutch as I don't feel up to delving into the tranny. I am going to make some calls tomarrow and get prices but I wanted to know what a decent shop charges so I don't get hosed. The car is a 1998 GSX.

mine was around 300 its also a good idea to have them check the master and slave

Really?! You only paid $300 for labor, man I was gonna get ripped. I was quoted $700. Maybe they thought I needed the clutch to?

i paid 250 for labor but thats because a performance shop just opened up and needed business real bad. the norm was about 350-400 when i checked around.

I was quoted 800$ for a clutch swap and replacing the clutch fork and pivot ball as well as the clutch hose with an SS one. Unfortunately, the money tree is not growing.
