2G Tranny Swap Question

[95 Mitsu]

I have a 95 GS w/the 420A. Can I swap my tranny out for a 99 GS w/the 420A? I know the engines are the same, but I dont know if the electronics are compatable between the two. I've had a couple people tell me to watch out because it didnt work for them. The local Mitsu dealership here didnt really have a definite answer. He said he THINKS it wont work on mine because it was made in '94. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Also, I'm new here. I'm Brian, drive a 95 GS from Indiana. Nice to meet you guys. Anyone else fron IN?

Come on, surely some of you guys know. I need help, even the local Mitsubishi dealership doesnt have a clue, help me out guys.
