ive done a million searches. some say use it some say its the devil. When i had it in my prev trans it did for a fact shift much nicer. I recently rebuilt my current trans and id like to keep it alive for a long while. I have royal purple synchromax 75/90 in it now, its ok but in the cold its a bit rougher shifting than id like. I think the synchromesh will fix this because its thinner but some say over time it harms bearings and some say its fine. so has anyone here actually ran this stuff for long periods of time on a daily driven car and had no negative affects? of course i would change it every 10k or so but i need first hand data before i dump 64$ worth of RP down the tube..

I personally have no experience with the Penzoil Syncromesh, but I did have RP in one of my transmissions (non DSM), and I experienced second and third gear syncro failure very prematurely.

I switched to Redline MT90 and lightweight shockproof = butter shifts. I would recommend for northern climates straight MT90.

I ran it in my FWD transmission for 3 years (low miles put on it though). Trans shifted like butter. Probably needs to be changed every year, based on what I've read. Not sure if I would use it in an AWD transmission...

Been in my girlfriend's non-turbo daily driver since 2007 when my buddy Jeff owned the car, roughly 60k miles ago. I change it every 10-15k because Synchromesh is much cheaper than transmission problems that resulted from a lack of maintenance. :D

Looks like ill be switching again then.ive heard mt90 is rough in the cold too .

I've used nothing but syncromesh in my transmissions for the past 5 years. Never had issues with it in my fwd or my old awd. Of course they were all old transmissions and not freshly rebuilt. For the awd i only used it in the transmission, the transfer case and rear diff i used the recommended fluids.

hmm. well someone just offered me a 04 gsxr 750 for my car.. if i keep it im gonna run the synchromesh , if not i guess ill be riding a bike home tonight LOL

Ive been using syncromesh since I bought my car 5 years ago. Trans shifts nicely, and no issues thus far. . .
