How to take apart awd trans?

I don't know of a write-up of the top of my head, but I rebuilt my 90 AWD trans last fall and be carefull when you remove the 5th gear so you don't chip the teeth, if you do need to get a new 5th gear make sure you get the right one because there is an early 90 and late 90 transmission and the 5th gears and 5th gear synchros are different.

You will need a press and a bearing separator helps a lot when you press the bearings and gears. I wouldn't recommend replacing the end bearing that is under the 1st gear because they sieze to the shaft and are really hard to get off. Other than that it's not too bad. Good luck.
