What is leaking?!

I just bought a 95 talon tsi and after sitting over night it's got a decent size puddle under it, I first thought it was oil but I put my finger in it and smelled it and smells nothing like oil and its also thicker. unique smell, it's coming from the front of the car kinda more on the passanger side. Any idea what is leaking?

Could be transmission gear oil. That would look like engine oil, but have a different scent (very strong odor) and it would be way thicker. If you can post a picture, that would help us determine what sort of fluid it is and where it came from.

its definetley thicker and has the strong scent of gear oil, is there a known seal that usually starts leaking?

Check the axle seals.

Axle shafts would be where I'd start. If not, look for cracks in the case.
