2G What is the axle spline count on a 97 GST

the passenger drive shaft (cv axle) i removed had i believe 27 splines and the i got from advanced auto has 25....i think they gave me the wrong one but the part number is right. what year transmission has a 25 spline drive shaft?

The FWD turbo 2G axle has 27 splines at the diff. The AWD and NT Spyder models have only 25 splines.

They could of also given you an ecliplse spyder gs axle. They have fewer splines than the turbo axle. I've had problems with parts store axles and getting the right one in the past. I would call them and get the book out. I would also look at another from the store with that part number. Parts get put in the wrong box all the time.

I've only done this on a 1G FWD, but I upgraded the inner joints to 2G FWD splines by swapping the inner cup and tripod over.
