My car has a spring on the clutch pedal that makes it return quicker.

Even when the car had a stock clutch it felt very strong. Well after putting in my new clutch and adjusting the pedal, I noticed a custom spring installed on the pedal pulling it away from the floor.

It almost instantly pulls the clutch back out.

I dont know if he did this for performance, or because their was something wrong with the car. I noticed you can buy clutch return springs at some auto parts stores.

Now I am used to it and just wanted to know if anyone else has done this mod.

I think they came with those..... My car came with one and the previous owners had done NO performance mods.

Well there is a helper spring, that is pushing towards the floor boards, and then on mine their is an extra return spring that is pulling the pedal back towards your foot.

You can tell it isn't stock, because my pedal is a lot harder to press than anyone else.
