I was just wondering what the chances of snapping an axle were? I see hondas break them all the time at the track.

dependinig on power and traction i always did high rpm launchs on the street and had no prob. but went to the track did a 5500 launch got wonderful traction and snaped a rear axle and tore up a front cv shaft and broke the center diff so it is possible if you get enough traction

Most of the time the driver side rear will snap 1st. I have guys out here in Hawaii that have snapped both rears at the same time. Both of these cars are making 376 whp and 386whp. 12.0 passes also. So I always leave my driver side air pressure up and lower the others this allows the tire to spin easer. I would rather spin the tires than snap a axel.
