Tranny Problems On My 95 GSX

Heres the story I bought my car almost a year ago and noticed when I bought it everything seemed fine except for excessive tranny noise but the gears shifted fine and the clutch still engaged nicly now a year later the noise had increased it sounds like somethings grinding olny when I was in the gears now last week I was driving from my house I had just warmed up the car and was leaving for the 1/8 mile track we have down hear when I came to my stop sign down my street everything seemed fine even when I went from first to second slowly everything seemed fine it wasnt till third when I was just reaching around 2600 rpms getting ready to shift when the grinding got so load it sounded like something was dragging on the ground now it does that though all gears and even when the cars rolling in neutral Help Me Out Guys

Sound like a busted intermedite shaft? 3rd gear on our cars are notorisous for breaking, But dam!! I never thought that it could be so easy. The first thing you need to do is stop driving it. Check the trans fluid for metal shavings. and get back to us. If you car makes a stepping on rice crispy treat noise then that's what it is. It happen to me but I was just racing. But Let not jump to conclution, Let take a look at your fliud first. I'm not that sure thou.

I am having a similar problem in third however my noise is a high pitched whine. This only happens in third and when I am quick shifting. If I take my time shifting it goes in fine. any suggestions?
