I have ran both. If you have never installed one or worked on an automatic tranny before you might want to have a shop install it. Make sure they have done that kind of work before. Don't let them hose you on the price. I got mine done at a VERY reptable trans shop, Advance Transmission, in Knoxville Iowa. I believe it was done for a little over $200. That was for fluid and labor. The valve body mods is where all the time is spent. The end clutch is about a 15 minute deal. The reason I had them do mine was because I had never done any work on an auto tranny before. I would feel totally comfortable doing it myself now. The instructions are straight forward and well illustrated.
