act 2600 breakin

How many miles do you need to break in the clucth? the little book that came with the clutch says 200-300 but i have heard 500. I just got it installed today and the first 10 min i had the car i staled it 5 times it feels so much better then my sliping stocker. I Just want to make sure this one will last a long time.

i gave mine about 900 miles of friendly break in driving....maybe a little moe

most people do it for 400-500 miles, tats wut my friend did it for, and his was alrite.

i broke my 2100 in for 500 and have had no probs whatsoever

I have about 600 miles on my 2600, I would assume its chill to race on by then

well a race clutch such as a 2600 lb clutch does not require a break in period.

From what I know If you do not break in an ACT or the like(clutchmasters, centerforce, etc...) It will grab harder, but will not last as long on a daily driven car. If you break it in It will last longer but will not grab as hard. I'm sure this varies a great amount. And on a 2600lbs clutch It will grab plenty much for 99% of the street driven DSM's if broken in fully.

1. Rev to 6000 rpm

2. Dump clutch pedal

3. Break-in complete

Not if you have a street disk.

One clutch dump is enough to break in a "Puck" Clutch but not a street disc.

I do have a street disc. It is normal to have more drive train noise when you put in a 2600?

Ive driven ... miles and...... Oh yeah, I havent had the opportunity to break it in yet
