Ok, I have came across the amazing deal, one of my friends received a 91 Eagle Talon TSi AWD for a present, he doesnt want it, he drove it for a week and he doesnt want it anymore, then later he found out it needs a new tranny, so he kept it in his garage, his parents bought him a 02 yellow Dodge Neon SXT or something like that, so he is selling his Talon for only 800$!!!!!!! its in perfect cond. always in garage, 62K actual miles, he doesnt know anything about it, so i am going to buy it for 800$, but i need to find normal prices on turbo AWD 5sp trannys for 90-91 Talon...........

discuss, sorry for long post

it really depends on the condition but i have seen them anywhere from $500 to $1200, try BMtranny, or Team RIP they have complete rebuilds for sale.

ahh you lucky sob... the best AWD TSI Talon i could find around here is a 90 with a bad paintjob (85K miles) and it's $2,000.... quick tell me where you friend lives I have $900 in my hand as we speak ;)

:shhh:

i know where to get a 90 white tsi with 120,000 for $800.00 it needs a windshield and oil pressure sensor. it's in new york. i can't get it right now because i am getting married in 6 months. i am hopping it's still there in 6 months.

i got one with a cracked housing/good internals for 300 bucks (and plenty of other cheap ones +-100 bucks or so...). im sure you could get a local shop to swap the innards so you get 1 good tranny and a bunch of extra parts for an additional 100 or so (bench job...). if your somewhat adventurous, you could probably do it yourself. its really easy to throw one together.
