well after going to the track with my spec stage 2+ i found that it wouldnt hold up after a launch, it would just slip 2nd so bad that i just let out and cruised the rest of the track. i knew that i had a bad lock out experience with acts 2600pp so i didnt want to go back to that. but before my act i had a fidanza 4.3 witch held up good for a mid to low 11sec street car until the springs popped out, but i never had or seen any issues with their pressure plates, and after setting the act and fidanza clutches up on the work bench on resurfaced flywheels i noticed that the fingers on the fidanza pp start out about 3/16" higher so it allows for more throw befor the springs on the hub make contact with the fingers, therfor allowing for an airgap of about .040 instead of acts .020. so i ended up buying just the pressure plate from fidanza for a whopping $150, and a sprung 6 puck from clutchnet for $155. now because of the problem with slipping with the spec stage 2+ i was afraid of the kevlar thats why i went with a 6puck, but i think the sbc kevlar disk would be great with this pressure plate because its a 2300lb. i think the spec slipped due to them useing such a light pressure plate, they wont release the info on it but it feels like a stock pp, way softer then even a 2100. if anyone has had a fidanza pressure plate crack or fingers break please let me know.
