Braided or Stock Clutch line?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

You can stick with your stock one if you like.

If you want one. RRE and turbotrix sell them.

I just put in a ACT 2100 and I would recomend going to a braided line because it does make a significant difference. Also it will give u the oppurtunity to bypass your ecumulator and remove any restriction in the line that are slowing the engagement of the clutch.

See I have mixed feelings about this though. If your clutch engages harder, then if you drag race and do a nice launch, you are more apt to damage your tranny than your clutch now. Personally some slip is usually good I'd think if you do that kind of launching.

This is very true but one other thing that should be brought to attention is that in a clutch like this where your dealing with with such a large clamp load(2600lbs). The slower engagement the more the clutch can slip keeping in mind that it is under alot more pressure than a stock unit so this slippage can cause increase wear and shorten your clutch life.

I switch over to the braided when i did my CM 2500 install.. I also By-Passed the restrictor. All i can say is..be ready to relearn your clutch. You dont realize how much that little restrictor does until you take it off. Your clutch grabs super quick now. I personally hated it the first week and half but now have gotten used to it. It helps greatly when launching and shifting for me.
