So far Ive got roughly 800km on this transmission and 2 track events. I have the Evo III 1st gear, the REM ISF and a welded center diff. I use a QM Twin disc, and stock slave/master and the stainless clutch line.
When I first got it in, it was good, notchy 3rd and 4th.. however, this went away, now 3rd still feels slighly notchy.. but not like its grinding.
I am VERY happy with this, I have NEVER missed a shift at the track with this transmission and it shifts beautiful with this clutch/trans combo at 7500rpm, and im sure it will be fine as high as i want it to go.
I met john at his shop in ohio, I drove down to pick up my parts and he runs a great and very organized business. I also purchased my dss driveshaft from him.
I drive this setup on the street as well, I have no power steering either.. Its not that bad, other than the squeel from the clutch when its engaging, its a streetable setup. Anyone looking to buy a built transmission should consider shephard racing.
