HeY guyz...i know theres lots of threads but i cant get a hold on this...i have 70k on my 97 GSX. I didn't start modding till last year and when i went and met some dsm guyz they said GO TO MOBIL 1 get rid of your normal oil. Well ive been running 10w 30 valvoline since i got the car and the origional owner did the same. My question is should i switch over now? will it hurt or help me out any? Or should i switch to castrol GTX?? ive heard that 2. Im changin oil 2morrow so i thought id ask. Thanx guyz and yes i know how 2 use the search button :thumb:

i switched to syntec 5w-30 in mine when it had 120k on it and never noticed anything wrong even when i tore the motor down.safe to say that it should be okay to do that.

did u notice any benefits ?? like was it worth the switch?
