I purchased a Quaife lsd from Extremepsi but didn't realize the one i order from them, was for the front of an AWD. The tranny shop called me up and told me that it was for an AWD, but they already had put the speedo gear on. I called extremepsi and now they told me that Quaife doesn't make an LSD for the 90-91 FWD trannies. Am i assed out or is there a way to put the AWD front Quaife into my 90 FWD? Also is there anybody with a 90 FWD that has the Quaife in their tranny? Please help me out this is so frustrating.:banghead::mad:

Edit: If anyone has any other options for me, I am all ears.

the 90-91 fwd and awd should be the same front diff. I have a 1989 mirage turbo and am installing the awd front diff in it. As far as I know the only difference is the size of the axles that going into the diff itself the 92-99 have bigger axles. so they are interchangable as long as you have the axles that go with the diff.

i also remember reading somewhere on this site about be able to use the AWD front diff on the 90-91 FWD diffs, but i can't seem to find it. Dogboxracing is the one that's rebuilding my trans, he said something about not being able to put the bearings on it. What year tranny will you be installing the diff into TURBO ADDICT? Dogbox said they would give me a call tomorrow so i'll have to wait and see what they could do for me. Hopefully all goes well, because one of the main reasons i was rebuilding my trans was because wanted to add a good LSD to go along with my freshly built Engine. It would really suck to put the stock diff after buying the part and using the money on a rebuild.

Problem is >>>>>>RESOLVED<<<<<< turns out that the front AWD quaife can be used in the 90" FWD Tranny, but instead of using tapered roller bearings, Sealed bearings have to be used.
Thank you, to the guys at DOGBOX Racing

EDIT: i had some problems with my axles not locking into the trans. Turns out my aftermarkert(advance\autozone) axles have smaller clips and the notch on the axle was also smaller. I filed the notch a lil bigger in order to fit the OEM axle clip(MB160387). i also had to change my axle seal because dogbox put in the wrong ones which caused them to leak. Correct axle seals for my car was MD707184
