what the hell is that cord right there by the clutch adjust?

im trying to adjust the clutch in my 90 GSX, but there is a stiff wire running right below the adjustment that is making it impossible to adjust the clutch. i can get my fingers on the locking nut, but a wrench just will. not. fit. its pissin me off. what is that cord and how do i get it out of my way?

A cord? Can you get a pict? The Previous owner may have had something in there.
