Kelowna,
ok say I bought this car and upgraded a few things and was tuning and all of a sudden I started getting these clutch slipping problems. I checked the clutch through the throw out bearing and with the symtoms was convinced it wasnt the clutch just magicaly going because it wasnt even during driving that it stopped working. anyways I checked the axles and the passenger side axle is just barely popped out like sticking out 1/2 inch but isnt connnected/in contact with the internals of the tranny so could this have caused my problem of a clutch slipping? the thing is my car felt like it had zero clutch left and could hardly go up a slight incline and would free rev up at any load in any gear at any rpm.

well your clutch could be on the way out. However if indeed your axle is popped out then that seems like an issue also. Personally I would start by pullin the tranny and checking out the clutch, what kind of clutch are you running and how many miles are on it?

well all it was was the axle was out 1/2 inch popped it back in with peice of wood and now everything is great again. GLAD I DIDNT FOLLOW your advice of dropping the tranny thanks anyways.

true but theres no reason for it to have poped out. It must have got slightly pulled out when I lowered the car and since havent put many kms on it so its likely to have been the problem.

ahh, that makes sense, u never mentioned that, it could've been slightly out when they pulled the suspension out and worked itself out.

Not so luck here. Had the same problem and dropped the whole drivetrain before I relized that it was a CV Joint. That was back in my early days so I have lived and learned since then!

Still should not pop out that easy. You sure all your suspension components on that side are all tight. When you pull the axle you have to remove the whole wheel hub just to get enough space to pull it out. Its just wierd that happened. It must have been installed incorrectly.

well the fact that bolts on that side were extremely seized and I was using lots of force in different directions which probably did it. its in there good now and no problems so Im doubting anything is to blame.
