Hi guys... some questions that were not addressed in the FAQ deal. Just some background; this is my first auto tranny since my first car (87 Fiero GT heh about ten years ago) so I'm not used to it...
I've had this RS about a month and I've noticed that the tranny seems to stagger or "slip" when operating under normal driving... it switches back and forth between gears momentarily under a constant but not hard acceleration. It's nothing big, and there are not faults present that I'm aware of. Seems to happen more in the OD on position, however it is not the OD gear doing it. I was just wondering if it is typcial and if there was anythign that could (reasonably) be done about it.
Also, the whole OD switch... I know it changes shift points (all of them it seems so just the "OD" designation is kind of a misnomer)... the site says mitsubishi recommended not using OD less than 50 MPH, yet the manual says nothing about that- just when you want more getup use it. Is there a link for more information?
