95 awd tranny-155k miles.. Worth It?

Is it worth the rebuild. I do not know if it's been rebuilt before or not. How would i even check? Anyways do you guys think its worth it or not. I was reading up on bad tranny's and syncros. Mines gotten to where its rough shiftin to first sometimes and 2nd just grinds when i try to put it in gear. (doin the old 1st to 3rd now ) Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,

IMO, yes it is. Well, depending on the shape of your car. Mines at TRE right now. But I'd stop driving it. I kept driving mine and everything was f***ed up inside.

A rebuild is always worth it when the other option is a brand new $2000+ transmission. The only way to check what you need is to pull it apart. Figure all new bearings, seals and syncros, possibly even a gear or 2 since wearing the syncros down and then driving that way for a while can wear the gear. If you do it yourself, you are probably looking at $400 in parts for a pretty complete rebuild, including updated syncros, new bearings, seals, oil guides/filters, and all the misc parts that need to be replaced when rebuilding like end nuts, washers, snap rings, clips, etc.
