Automatic to Manual - 2G

Does anybody happen to know if it is possible to change a stock automatic transmission in a 1995 Talon ESi to a stock manual transmission? Any kind of information/links would be appreciated.

It's still very similar. Not many people have done the swap. Mostly because it's one huge pain.

think i should just look for an eclipse gs-t 5 speed?

Well I've done a tranny swap in my car. That alone was a huge pain. I can't imagine what it'd be to do a 5spd swap. If it was me I'd get a GST or GSX. Personaly I love AWD. But I also love the top end of a GST. Up to you. You can still make lots of power on you're automatic though.

well, i would just stick with my car, but i just learned how to drive five speed about 3 months ago (im sixteen, learned on an automatic... just shaddap). not being able to control my tranny really bothers me... alot. and i want a turbo to go faster.

on another note, i do like the top end of FWD too. i dont think i'd go with AWD, even though it'd be handy in Iowa winters.

Yeah.. Automatic is really slow when it's stock. I wanted a 5spd too. Unfortunately the car I wanted wasn't. Since then my goal was to make it fast. I succeded somewhat.
