Help understanding clutch rod adjusment
I just need to know if the picture indicates the rod all the way out or all the way in? As of now my clucth feels like there is just about no free play and that it disengages(no longer in gear) very high in the pedal travel. My clucth feels like its' slippin as it doens't pull liek it should in the lower gears and I can put it in 5th gear( you can def tell its' all the way in gear) and it will spin as if i'm in neutral free reving almost. I guess understanidng wether the rod adjust at point 1 or point 2 would help me understand better.

Turn #1 clockwise a few times and test.
Adjust until adequate free play at the top of the pedal stroke is achieved. Don't adjust it so far that the clutch engages right off the floor.

It is almost all the way out. You will want to turn it in so you see more of the rod past the number 2 point.

You probably are preloading your TOB right now and that is the reason your clutch is slipping. If that is the case your TOB will not last long.

Yeah when I go home I'm gonna adjust it. I have only driven maybe 20 miles max with it like that so I doubt I have hurt anything yet but I could tell right away it wasn't right. my gt14 was pulling weaker then my 14b lol

Exactly, the way you have it adjusted now is basically like driving with your foot on the clutch the whole time. I like to have mine set so it engages about 1/3rd the way up, off the floor, of its full travel.

Yeah well that would explain why it felt like 5th gear was completely gone. Good thing I saw this before it was too late I have never adjusted this though so I'm wondering how it ended up liek it is now.

Consider yourself lucky. Most people would kill to have to adjust their clutch in instead of out. Most people are out of room and looking for ideas while yours was a simple adjustment issue.

Who you tellin man. I read people replacing 1 million things trying to adjust it the other way and still not having any luck I was like shit I don't feel like going threw all that.

Yeah I don't consider myself lucky as that was a pain in the ass but it's done. I really didn't even move it much toward the other way but I can DEF feel the diffrence between then and now. The shifter actualy feels easier to shift the clutch has free play instead of being hard even at it's highest point and just to test it I started the car and slowly let off the gas till the rpms dropped and the car stalled it was def like aorund half way up clutch travel which means it's engaging. Thanks a lot fellas

Yeah I still need to adjust it diffrent it's still kinda doing what it was. I hope it's not the cluthc cause it's brand new.  I put it in 5th and it just spinns that's what bothers me the most. It's not even really a slip it's like the gear is shot but it was fine before the engine swap.(fresh rebuilt 6bolt)
