Tranny Not Shifting AT ALL!!

When I start up my car and put it into drive and gas it the RPM's just start going up and it doesnt ever shift. It happened right after my battery died so i dont know if that had anything to do with it or it was just a cowinsedince(sp??) I was wondering if my tranny is just gone or aleady gone or also i was thinking what if i install the end gear cllutch kit and the shift kit would that solve my problem or no?? any input would greatly be appriecated i need to get this car on the road asap got finals this week comming up and i got no car thanks guys.

Hopefully your AutoECU didn't short. Check it.

well I got my ATF changed and got the whole tranny flushed out and did all the maintanence stuff to it but it still doesnt shift. I see that you guys are saying that maybe my AutoECU shorted out would that be the same as the TCU and were can i locate that and how do i know if it shorted or not and if thats not the problem can u guys think of anything else that could be??

HELP I'm having the same problems. How do I check to see if its the ECU or the TCU?

I heard by 3 diffrent people that it may be the torque converter. I'll give it a try and get back with ya.

What ended up being the problem was the TCU it shorted out and I ended up replacing it and that was the end of the prob. But now I got another one when i step on the gas sometimes it puts itself into neutral. Anyone else have that problem as well?
