Shiter Cable Broke

Well kinda, not the cable itself but a part on it broke, so that when I shift back into 2, 4, and reverse it kinda goes past the gear. And if you look at the shifter cable itself while doing this after I popped off the intake and UICP you can see the cable coming out of the thing and bending. I have it ghetto fixed right now, but is my only option to buy a whole new cable? Dealership wanted 165 dollars and a 5 day wait ### its special order. Anybody got any ideas?

I would go with new OEM. Thats what I got when mine broke. I know I am a 1G but they were $120.00. Good quality and you know they are good fitment.

I wouldn't rig anything related to the shift cables. You could be stuck in gear if your fix broke while driving.

Yours uses a cable? I only have the old-fashioned sphincter control. And as shows in my grammar taunting, it's extremely tight.

MachV has them, if you want to pay 3X dealer price. Mitsubishi Gravyard will have used, and San Rafael Mitsubishi is a sponsor who gives us a cut.

hmmm I know that Norco Mitsubishi by my place gives discounts to DSMers, i'll call and see how much it would be for them. The only shifter cable I found on MachV was for a 1g.
