Dawson Creek,
Ok so I pulled my transmission out a while back because my clutch was shot. After some time for saving and such I got a new flywheel and clutch kit.

Now is the hard part. I'm trying to get my tranny back in  . There is no way, I tried with a jack, a hoist, raising the car more. Basically everything I heard MIGHT work. What I'm asking is some help here, I have no idea what else I can do. Is there some tip? A secret way to just get it in there? Any help would be AWSOME!

you have to lift he back of the trans in first then kinda hook the output shaft in place and rotate the trans at the same time. only way to do it is by hand and if you can get an experienced dsm'er thats done it before to help thats even better. its hard for 1 person to do.

It would be nice to know specifically what you're having a problem with. When you installed the clutch disc in the pressure plate did you use an alignment tool to make sure the input shaft of the tranny will fit in the spline hub of the clutch? Is the ball stud (fulcrum) screwed all the way in? Does the release fork and throw out bearing move freely?

If this is your first time installing a tranny you should have someone else (maybe even two other guys to help you). With the car up on jack stands sit the tranny on a jack with a piece of wood at one side to help position the tranny prior to pushing it forward (input shaft) in to the clutch spline hub. It takes a little finesse because as you raise the tranny it begins to turn on an angle, but with the help of another or (two) and a piece of wood you should be able to re-angle the tranny in position. Don't push too hard because you may have to turn the tranny input shaft a bit to fit properly. Just take your time and don't try an overly force things.

There's no trick, its just patience...

I removed one last peice that I had missed of the frame. After that it was fairly easy accept for the fact that the company I got my Xact flywheel from sent me a FWD flywheel instead of AWD. So after all that I had to start all over anyways. No this is not my first time doing a transmission but I had my brother there as well. Thanks for the answers guys.

Did you get it in? If not, 1stGenRocks is right. I've had to remove and put mine in about 10 times. You have to rotate the rear of the transmission (where the axles enter) until its the top, and then re-rotate it back into the proper position when its finally at the correct height. All the rest of the problem is just aligning it...
