Ok, me and my DSM have been through alot, but it's finally getting to the point where I want to blow it to pieces!

I went through a rough construction area, and ended up hitting a nice huge cement hump left by the asses a few hours earlier (a Suburban nailed it and almost killed me two minutes later) which ended up cracking the front lower ear that is for the transmission off of the block. I had this ear welded back on, but the alignment on all of my transmission dowels was imperfect and they were impossible to get right because they were bent so I had end up removing them. After all of this I have had nothing but hell trying to keep transmission bolts from working lose, and I've now managed to crack my bellhousing.

I purchased a new bellhousing, some new motor mounts and got a fresher transfer case, but if anyone has any suggestions for me I am ALL ears as this car is finally managing to DRIVE ME NUTS! I'm right next to finding another 1g AWD with a decent motor and just swapping everything over before I RUIN this nice TRE trans!

I've had my bellhousing bolts back out a few times after long highway runs. I put loc-tite on them and they have never backed out since.

If you have an ACT street disc, make sure you check the springs and retaining plate as a misaligned transmission will pop those springs out quite easily. I had it happen to me after my bolts backed out a bit.

Thanks man. I'm going to loctite everything and check out the clutch and probably go with a different flywheel. I'm hoping that I will finally be able to drive and enjoy the car instead of conastantly fixing drivtrain problems!
