my front right is nearing death I think, so i presume the front left will be the same soon.
I just readthe vfaq on the cv boot replacement etc and wow was that an intense vfaq.
I'm not sure if I'm up to it so I was wondering if anyone has an idea how long it should take.
most of the shops here are like 80-90 bucks an hour.

Thanks!

I had one replaced a few months ago, I belive I was charged around 130 or so gotta look at the receipt but that was just one.

Now is a perfect time to learn something on your car. Its not really that hard to do. Make sure you buy new seals at the Mitsubishi dealership....They aren't that expensive anyways. While you're in there, it would be wise to invest in some good gear lube.

Not to sound cheap or anything, but $400 bucks is a lot of money for something you can do with a couple sockets, a ratchet, and some jackstand. Once you're all finished with that, you would think to yourself how retarded you were for giving $400 to someone so that they could switch out 2 axles for you. With $400 bucks, you can take out your family to eat at a really nice place, in your DSM, and still have plenty of money left over for mods, routine maintenance, etc.
