Rear Differential

Anyone know if any other cars/trucks have a larger/stronger rear end that will fit?
I work at a Ford dealership and had a driveline-tech look at my car, I asked if any Ford's might have a rear end that would fit. He said it looked alot like a mid 90's t-bird only smaller. He said next time he replaced one he would save the old part and see if it would fit.
So I'll let you know how it turns out.

I know that they sell a differential on machv.com but i think that it was quite expensive, so I guess it depends on if you are looking for a replacement or an upgrade. Other than that i am clueless about it.

The rear diff's hold up pretty good. Do you have a factory rear LSD? If not you might want to try getting a hold of one. Also, do you have a 3 or 4 bolt rear end? Get a 4-bolt if you don't and you should be good for 10's.

Hey Ryan G.

My car has the factory 4 bolt LSD... It's just seen to many hard launches. Actually the car came from Fairbanks, Alaska. It probably did a lot of snow plowing up there.

That is correct in alaska we like to put our dsm's to the limit in a sense of drift racing on an ice track, slipping and sliding is on a daily bases. not so much plowing. these cars work awesome up here year round but do see alot of shop time especially on the drivetrain
