My goal is to hit 400hp spmetime around March or April. 150 more horse to go. I figure it's about time fr a new turbo. The T25 is just too weak. Anyway, when I start getting close to 400hp, do u guys think I will have trouble keeping a trans in the car or what? Any clues on how to make the tranyn stronger. i already have a new valve body and some new end clutches. Whadduya think guys???

If you are running a T-25 on your auto I really doubt you have 250 HP at the wheels. A stock auto 2G is around 160 at the wheels. 400 HP at the wheels is much more difficult than you think. Your post says 150 HP to go to 400 HP and I bet if you hopped to the dyno you will be lucky to be at 200 HP at the wheels with a T-25. With the end clutch and valve body shift kit you are on your way. Basically don't worry about it until you break it! But yeah it will break and then you will probably want to get the Alto Red master rebuild kit which provided upgraded clutches gears. Then a bulletproof high stall torquen converter would be the next step. The tranny should be fine unless you are going with a bigger than 20G turbo.

How do you know what kinda HP I'm makin to the wheels. I've used a couple of those HP calculators and they show for me to be getting somewhere around 240 - 260 to the wheels. Those things are pretty accurate from what dynos I've seen on rear wheel driven cars. Go check them for yourself. My best time so far is [email protected]. Lemme know what you think. And yes, I'm still using the stock T25 turbo, amazing isn't it?

In an automatic stock T-25 I am just saying it is near impossible to get 250-260 at the wheels running no n2o and just exhaust and little mods like that will not give you 250 at the wheels with an auto. I can almost put money on it if you jumped on a dyno you would not have 250 at the wheels.

First of all an Automatic GSX is 205HP stock (manual is 210hp) and he has enough mods (from what I read)to put out 250. Were only talking another 45hp.

The T-25 is only capable of 270HP max...

And the Zex is 55hp extra. I prolly gained 40 to the groud from a 55 shot. The thing screams off the line. I luv my AWD. Best 60ft time so far is 1.764.

I have the same car, but I'm getting ready to install a big 16g and intercooler. What kind of BOV are you using?? Was the 13.6 time with NOS and on pump gas?

I was told by someone on another board that they installed high performance tourque converter and got their ECU reprogrammed and he saw a huge improvement. The problem with the auto tranny in the GSX is that it shifts way too fast and doesn't get the full potential from the gears. Plus not to mention there a seperate computer built into the the tranny that senses the road conditions..

Well since I have no tuning equipment an higher boost means knock, I used race gas and yes the 13.6 was on the dope, but I dodn't spray in 3rd gear. I'm afraid of the knock. I think she'll go 13.20s if I leave the kit on through the ful pass. I might do that next time at the track, since I have upgraded the fuel system. Got everything but new injectors and a fuel controller. That will all come with the 60-1 t3t4 setup. The 16g is only good for around mid 12s and possibly low 12s on the juice. I'm at low 13s now, and I want a substantial jump in numbers. Go big or go home IMO.

BTW, I'm just using a 1g BOV. I want a Greddy or HKS, but haven't committed to one or the other. I've only had my car for 3 months now, but I'm already impressed by its potential.

I'll eventually get a high stall torque convertor for an even better launch. But I will not have a very streetable car by that time. How many miles u got on your 97. I'm pushin 52K.:thumb:

Do me a favor and keep me informed on your progress, ok? Not too many A/T Eclipse's on here.. You have a GSX right?

Yeah, it's a GSX. U got any kind of messenger service or anything. I'm on Aol IM for work related things, but I use it for personal things too. Hit me up on AIM, my name is txumarcus.

I can't during work Dude. they monitor our use here. Although they haven't said squat about my yahoo mail and DSM forum ;)

Well myjob is completely internet related. I watch the internet and support all types of service on the internet, so I get to goof around on the web all day long. hehehehehe

Sometime, yeah. Well do u have an instant messenger or not. even if u have one at home. I have a different name there. Lemme know. That would be easier for me than finding u again on here.
