I just recently ripped my transmission, transfer case, and both axles out of the car. upon looking at the transmission the the metal clip that was holding the tob on wasnt on right OMG (not my fault got car like that)...Now to start from the beginning I know 1g trannies are not that great and are notchy half the time:cry: ...When I would try to shift fast into 2nd going around 4k+ rpm's it would grind really bad:cry: ...Now before I thought about sending away my transmission for a standard cheap rebuild I want a few opinions b/c of lack of money...

1. The stock rubber bushing under the center console were completely shot and falling apart-The remedy for that Sysmobski shifter kit,

2. Next for the cable bushings again there were totally dry rotted and instead of the holes being round they were oval...remedy for that was metal shifter cable bushings from machv...

3. Also got 3 bottles of BG II to put in and new tob... what are the chances my previous problems could have gave such bad grinding???

On another note im getting a sbr 3500 clutch, pressure plate, and alignment toold for 75 bucks which is such a great deal is there anything I shoud do with my flywheel??? The clutch has roughly 1000 decent but hard miles on it by the way...so please I need help

Sounds like you have your problem figured out mainly. The grinding is normal on almost all our cars. One other thing to check is to make sure the cables are adjusted correctly. If one nut is a few turns off, you will grind. As for the flywheel, I recommend a lightened flywheel from RRE. I have one and have had nothing but good luck with it. If nothing else get it faced before installation. While your at it I suggest a stainless clutch line. Just make sure it is bled very well.:D

I forgot to add I did buy a ss clutch line and thx for the help
